A low-pressure system from India is approaching lower Sindh, bringing a forecast of heavy rain for Karachi. According to Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz, Karachi could experience between 150 to 200 millimeters of rain over the next three days.
Sarfraz highlighted that the system is currently positioned south of Tharparkar, and Karachi may start seeing heavy rainfall by tomorrow morning or afternoon. Sajawal and Thatta are also expected to receive substantial rainfall in the next few days, with the possibility of over 300 millimeters of rain in some areas. The sea is also expected to be rough during this period.
All educational institutions in Karachi District Central and Hyderabad will remain closed tomorrow due to rain, according to the Deputy Commissioners. In the situation caused by the rains, the authority to close educational institutions will rest with the Deputy Commissioners, according to a letter from the Education Department Sindh.
