Government has decided to shut down Utility Stores

The federal government has decided to shut down Utility Stores, giving the administration two weeks to finalize matters. According to the Utility Stores management, subsidies on items have already been withdrawn.

There is concern among the more than 11,000 employees, including 6,000 permanent staff, with the remaining on contract and daily wages. The administration mentioned they have two weeks to settle transactions with companies.
