The Sindh government has banned the use of plastic water bottles in all government offices across the province to improve the environment. According to a circular issued by the government, the decision was made during a cabinet meeting, chaired by the Chief Minister of Sindh.

The use of plastic bottles in government offices was found to have a negative impact on the environment due to the challenges of disposal. The government has directed that plastic bottles be immediately replaced with jugs and glasses for water in all offices.
