Pakistan Business Council Warns of Multinational Companies Leaving Due to Firewall Issues

The Pakistan Business Council (PBC) has raised concerns that several multinational companies are planning to relocate their offices from Pakistan due to widespread internet disruptions and slow speeds caused by the installation of the national firewall. According to PBC, many companies have already begun the process of moving out.

In a detailed statement on the social media platform X, PBC stated, “We are forced to pay for capacity costs in power generation, leading to unemployment and loss of exports and tax revenue. Now, due to the poor implementation of the firewall, we face the risk of idle capacity in the emerging software sector
