A meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Information Technology, chaired by Senator Palwasha Khan, was held to discuss the ongoing internet service disruptions across the country.

According to media reports, PTA officials said that we have not received any complaints regarding internet service.

During the session, IT Secretary Ayesha Humaira placed the blame for slow internet service on mobile operators, stating that the issues are with their networks, not with Wi-Fi. She mentioned that the disruption is specific to mobile networks.

She further informed the committee that they are currently collecting data from mobile operators and will present detailed findings within two weeks. The IT Secretary assured that the problem is not expected to be prolonged and that the internet service issues will be resolved soon.
